In the RDS over the next few days there are a few art and craft fairs happening, most notably in the RDS, and should be a wonderful exhibition for anyone who loves art and antiques and crafts. Go and check it out.
There will be a few changes to the website in the coming weeks. Alan.

This weekend will see a brand new feature here which you will like. It delves into the amazing world of the color sketch book, and shows what can be achieved with just a few drawing and sketching tools.
I am delighted with the interest taken in the website, and more will be added in the future. Many thanks to everyone for support. Enjoy your weekend. Alan. I love when a plan comes together. I have now successfully transferred all of the features of the old site to here, and I have lots more space. Weebly is a surprisingly easy site maker to use, and it allows me to add much more. Forbes magazine rates Weebly very highly, and so do I.
Over the weekend I am taking the chance to add some new material to the site. Thank you everyone for the support and keep on reading. Alan. I am adding a sketchbook page which will have features all about how to keep and develop a Sketchbook. An artist can't go anywhere without a sketchbook, and I will show why, and show how some great sketches can lead to great paintings later on. The sketchbook is the ideas book brimming with ideas for the artist. All to come soon.
If you'd like any particular subjects covered in the website, let me know via these comments, I will be happy to help with it. I am a lover of nature by habit. With sketchbook and camera in hand, I go about the countryside, capturing the scenes of the day, or night, and the people. Life is everywhere, and there is no shortage of things to turn into art. I am expanding my horizons ever more, and I love to take every opportunity to create something special or magical. Today sees me once again in the Botanic gardens, and this is a chance to grab some refreshments in the restaurant, and sip my coffee, and watch the world go by...and I can nibble on that apple pie. Mr Kipling would probably approve.
